Here we are again delving into the world of my favourite websites that we can all benefit from, and the first one i want to bring to your attention this post is software your computer loves because it protects them from those digital beasts AAAAARRRRRRHHH ( frightened myself then….fool) ,the VIRUS !

It`s a very good Anti-Virus software thats (surely the…Eds not going to say it) yes i am it`s freeeeeeeeee  and also extremely good in fact as good as one you would pay once a year to do more or less the same job  !

No its not Norton , no fred its not Mcafee (DON`T YOU PAY FOR THESE), its a software package called AVG 8.0 FreeEdition!

Now that i have said what i have said, you are saying yes….Ed but anything free can`t be any good because Alf down the computer shop said give me £70 every year to make sure your pc is properly protected that AVG is a con !

Yeah right Alf if my readers  take my advice you will lose sales , sorry but your mouthwash ain`t makin it !

You see AVG 8.0 FreeEdition is simply downloaded in no time at all to   your PC and will protect the following PC components with;

• Anti-Virus
• Anti-Spyware
• E-mail Scanner
• resident Sheild
• Update Manager -this for free updates .
• Link Scanner – This is neat it scans every website on the search   engines as soon as the search page appears a green tick then tells you that website is virus free and safe to open  Coooool .

the only small drawback is you have to manually update the program once or twice a day via a little icon at the bottom right hand side of the screen .

I personally have AVGmyself  i don`t mind having to do this because theres never any recurring fees year in year out and it is a very good Anti-Virus system so this in my opinion outweighs this minor detail !

However be warned if you don`t keep up with the updates you will find the software gone , but like i say it`s well worth the effort as i have never had an infection yet !

AVG once a day everyday runs a full PC system check at a time set by yourself and absolutely any viruses, spyware , are automatically sent to the virus vault waiting for you to then check on and delete How cool is that !

You can also manually run a system check whenever you feel like it.

One more thing there is a paid version that does offer more , but in my opinion you don`t really need it.

On that note after rounded up the viruses and throwing away the key , i`m going to play my favourite game -
