Copywriting Tips and Advice using AIDA for sales page copy Success!
Hi Ed WeBBers,
As you recall in my previous file on copywriting , i sort of broke down all of the ingredients and format of what makes a good sales letter in the form of A.I.D.A!
Ed…. i recall that file, wasn`t it about someone i know?
No…Doris, again we are not going to look at your family tree!
Honestly, i think Doris, eBay, and Buy It now, springs to mind!
ANYWAY!
This post i want to break it all down further, and start with the HEADING!
So what exactly is the role of the Heading, well , just as the same as in an eBay listing, the sales copy heading is the first thing a prospecting buyer will see and is arguably the most important HOOK LINE that you will use in the entire sales pitch?
This is because, you need an opening advertisement, to make your prospect read through the rest of your sales story, it is a MAKE or BREAK SITUATION, if you get the hook wrong you lose the prospect, period!
Of course there are techniques that will enhance your headline (eg. underline, bold, italic, highlight and strike-through) !
These, features are very powerful eye catching methods ! I have once stated before ,that YOU only have a few seconds to keep your prospect interested by the use of your headline, for example lets look at the newspaper industry worth $Billions ,what puts that money into their businesses?
THE HEADLINE!
Without it people would not see the big bold letters on the front cover, catching their eye, clearly stating what the story is about, not creating the interest to want to read further, then would therefore not buy the newspaper!
Now you can see how important the HEADLINE is, when you create yours for your product think about how you can create the attention for the prospect to read through to the introduction of your sales letter!
Its all about progressing through the sales funnel, by that I mean from the title right down to the bottom of your sales letter is a selling structure and formula, designed to make the sale!
BUT….
Without a good title at the start of your pitch, grabbing the attention of the visitor, then the rest of the format will be missed, your reader and prospect will be gone!
JEESH, it`s that time again sales buffs, i`m going to exercise with yoga,
" I will start by arching my leg over the top of my head resting my big toe on my eyelid whilst balancing an egg on the top of a straw on the heel of my foot"!
One WORD…Doris!
Next post will be on my favourite shelled partners of mistique YES the tur-tells , with further tips on how to set the filtration system up for your own paradise frequented by these hip creatures, DO NOT MISS !
Until then Ed WeBBers…TTFN….Ed.
