Hi Ed -

Failed to leave a comment on another eBay post about templates - no idea why - hope you don't mind me leaving it here.

I agree it's absolutely essential on ebay to use good looking templates and they can be a real pain in the behind to write or source.

Another option is to use a free "feeder" service, which provides it's own templates. The one I use is AUCTIVA (www.auctiva.com) which allows loads of pictures (unlimited I think) and a wide variety of changing templates, all free to use, and a scheduling service. I choose a template, set my auctions up, schedule and forget. It even handles the automatic feedback! I find that Auctiva makes ebay turbo lister and other ebay programs redundant! Sadly it doesn't make tea or do the trip to the post office for you or it'd be pretty perfect!

And I also totally agree with different identities - you MUST have a different one for your buying and selling (esp if you buy things to resell - people will check your feedback and see what price you PAID for an item you're reselling to them - they can't do this if you use different buyer/seller ids). And different niches = different ids. Oh and make sure you raise the money receiving limits on your paypal account or eventually no-one will be able to pay you til next year!

Great post!

Hello John,
Excellent point about targeting eBay sales. I haven't started selling on eBay yet, but I shall make sure I have separate ID's for different markets. Thanks for the tip.
