eBay..Levi Roots,Doris..Cooking Gardeners?

Hi Ed WeBBers,

WELL, what about ‘Levi Roots’ – he was the chap who appeared on ‘Dragons’ Den’ a couple of years back…

Since then, he launched his ‘Reggae, Reggae’sauce (tasty by the way!) into stores around the UK…

Now, it appears he’s back – with his own TV show!

As you might imagine, his new TV show is devoted to ‘rooting out’ (couldn’t resist that pun) the best Caribbean recipes and food ideas.

Ed….Make your mind up rooting out is he a cook or a gardener i mean “Rooting out”?

Right…Doris,NO the word “Rooting out” refers to a form of cannibal that cooks gardeners..

Sorry for the misunderstanding!!!!!

(Think her cheese has slipped off its cracker)?

ANYWAY..

People will tune in – simply because this is a ‘new thing’…or at least for most of us it is.

And that’s the point I want to make today.

The ‘Levi Roots’ story is a perfect ‘story’that highlights filling a niche’s demand with something a bit ‘new’ and different…

It’s a perfect example of the approach I favour.

He followed the ‘formula’ to a tee.

That formula of course is…

1) Find a hot market.

2) Find a ‘new’ product that fits right into the ‘wants’ of this market…something that’s unique, but it still going to hit at what the hot market wants.

And this is exactly what Levi Roots has done…

He found a hot market (cooking!). He then introduced something ‘new’ into that market -something which the market really wanted.

In his case it was CARIBBEAN food – instead of the usual suspects of Chinese, Italian, Indian etc.

The formula has worked very well for him and shows no sign of slowing down.

The ‘formula’ won’t stop working at any point either – because it’s based on the fundamental principles of business – finding a need/want and then filling it.

This applies directly to your eBaying.

Finding those hot markets, then introducing ‘new’ products into those markets (products which they really want) is what it’s all about.

Sure the ‘formula’ is pretty broad – but it’s also very simple.

What’s more, it’s about the only thing you really ‘need’ to succeed selling products on eBay.

Maybe, like Levi Roots, you should be using this ‘formula’ too?

DUN DUN DAH ..Stuntman time..

“whilst hanging from an hot air ballon to a piece of string and only my big toes, i have to balance a snooker ball on the back of my head with too rather large
scorpions down my boxer shorts singing “Nothing below the waist but memories” by J Strap!

As usual NAY BOTHER..

shut it…Doris!

WEY HEY, don`t miss my next hot air triumph of info when i will be looking at fellow internet marketer “Joe Jablonski” and is rippppppppppping new software that lets you hold customers email addresses prisoner via video on the likes of “You Tube” this stuff is smooooooooooooooooooooooooking !!!

But, alas tis time for mi-wah to get his beauty sleep, so i`ll set the clock for 2010..TTFN….Ed.
