eBay..Niche Success, while the Fat Lady Sings?
Hi Ed WeBBers,
Donna Simpson weighs in (already) at a whopping 43 stone…but she wants to
get even bigger.’Simpson’ wants to be the World’s lardiest and largest woman – in fact, she is looking to DOUBLE her already (extremely) sizeable bulk to a ridiculous 70+ stone.
Only problem is that she thinks this ‘may not be practical’.
I would have thought weighing about the same as a small family car ALREADY would have put her off…but no.
Ed…does this mean the average family car needs to go on a diet?
Doris…when was the last time you seen a car eat 25 boxes of pizza?
SOMETIMES my head lies heavy!
Sorry to be blunt but she is overweight
And she wants to be even more of an overweight-ee.
Why?
Simply because she wants to be ‘the best’ at something. Presumably, in this case, that means being the best at eating pork pies.
And Big Macs.
And fries.
AND ice-cream for ‘pudding’. (And I’ll bet she wouldn’t stop there, either).
Seriously though, she clearly wants to be the best/famous at *something*.
And here’s the point I want to make…
Let’s take a huge market on eBay – let’s say the market for clothing.
Now, you might not be able to be the ‘biggest and best’ seller in this category.
There’s plenty of established and stiff competition.
But it’s an entirely possible that by ‘segmenting’ down that large category, that you can become ‘the best’ in a smaller category (all this talk of ‘sizes’ is really getting confusing now).
Maybe the hat category…or, within that category, a certain ‘hat theme’ niche may be the one where you can become the leader.
So…
Maybe you know certain ‘categories’ are ‘hot’ right now.
And maybe you know that within those categories, certain sub-categories are hot.
But, can you divide and ‘splice’ that category further, to become the #1 in a sub-sub-niche?
Obviously, I don’t know the individual details of the categories you may want to get involved with.
But whatever categories you are looking at, think about how you might be able to segment it down…then segment it down again…so you too can be become the ‘leader’ in your chosen niche?
WELL, i`m going to get my head into a chosen book review..
Great for the kids but you don’t have to be a muppet to learn the basics

WEY HEY, my fave sesame st fur ball was Grover, BUT hey with his millions from the show who needs to write a book, don’t miss my next insight on eBay when i will looking at how eBay NOW have more than just the TOP seller status as an issue for sellers, and if you want the low down on that well you`ll just have to wait and tune in peeps?
BUT for now i must shed off this writers coil and bid thee TTFN….Ed.

MY Ed WeBBers ARE PRICELESS!
