eBay..Small Seller Success, Doris and the stolen “Beano”?
Hi Ed WeBBers,
If ‘Reader’s Digest’ were to send you a book through the mail, without you ever ordering/asking for it, then they ask for payment…then, well, they can’t do that.
Ed….Doesn`t apply to me anyway i`m a beano reader i steal em from the news stand..
Doris…you thieving swine, and never offered to loan me them, i`ll have my hard skin remover back please?
MMMM..i mean
Moving on SWIFTLY..
By rights, you can keep that book for F-R-E-E….
Anyway – regardless of that, there’s another point I want to make here.
That of ‘big companies’.
Now, the thing about eBay is that it’s populated with small companies who have to ensure that they make a profit.
There’s no room for pretense.
But, if you look for inspiration for your advertising and marketing from ‘big companies’ then you’ll often be disappointed.
Why?
They don’t very often have the same ‘requirements’ to produce high returns on investment.
This applies to looking for ‘inspiration’ from newspaper ads – even some Google adverts in competitive markets.
And, dare I say it, it also applies to SOME eBayers.
You see, some huge eBayers – although they have some decent products – still continue on through ‘force’ of a huge product-line and huge buying power.
Their adverts aren’t that great (to say the least!) in plenty of cases.
Again, you don’t want to get your advertising and strategy inspiration from these sellers.
You want to concentrate on those sellers who are selling single products in large quantities – and work out/observe their sales and marketing approach.
These eBayers are really the ‘cream’ who really know what they are doing.
And getting your ‘inspiration’ from these eBayers is much more likely to trigger your own success – rather than copying the latest full-page glossy you’ve just seen in ‘The Guardian’!
In short, ‘IN’ are – small sellers producing big sales for single items.
‘OUT’ are almost every newspaper/TV advert you see, plus plenty of the ads by the huge eBayers who profit purely because of a hug product line and huge buying power.
So there!
its that melting moment with a book read
“How to pass your driving test with two Glass eyes” By F. Ixedstare.
WEY HEY you marvels of my mental breakdown, don`t miss my thoughts on Masterclass and my FULL review on events within as SEEN through my eyes and on it`s sad el finite!
BUT, until then you believers in me you, it`s TTFN,,,,Ed.

MY Ed WeBBers ARE PRICELESS!

Ed,
You are sooo entertaining. I stop by to have a laugh along with some great info and also to wake up my eyes with all the red and gold on your site.
Can you tell me how you get all those smiling faces to show up on your blog comments?
Ann
Hi Ann,
they are gravatars thanks for stopping by….Ed.
As Ann said, very entertaining Ed. I suppose that what you are saying is “small is beautiful”. Keep up the good work.
John
Hi John,
yes it would seem that success is found amoongst the high selling single product seller than the big eBay stores selling one or two of each item!
Cheers John….Ed.
Hi Ed…
You know most times its the little things that make a difference and knowing who to fashion ourselves after is ultimately very important. Thanks for the info and heads up on what to look for and who to pay attention to. I don’t think I would ever have thought of it this way if you had not pointed it out.
Kathy
Hi Kathy,
Small sellers have less buying POWER ,but the only formula ton success is finding that golden nugget of a product to outweigh that problem and grow in profits!
Thanks Kathy….Ed.
