Good call Ed, the description is one of the first things that catches the attention apart from the picture. So spending the time to get this right is all important. A timely reminder about good eBaying.
Cheers

Hi Ed,
Another great post mate, with good sound advice that people should take not of.
So many people add the spec of the product but fail to mention the benefits of the item. You’ve given a perfect description and examples of how to use the benefits to our advantage when trying to sell the items.
Like you said once they open our listing the description is our salesman and we need to focus on getting that right.
Thanks Ed, I’ve added this post to the video blog challenge page on my blog
Catch up soon mate,
Barry

Hey Barry…
These are the kind of lessons as far as eBay goes, that will be *evergreen*…because salesmanship is salesmanship…and it’s always going to be a winning formula as regards the description!
Thanks for the visit Barry AND for entering this file into your competition….Ed.

Hi Ed
Guilty as charged, I must admit I tend to bullet point features instead of benefits. Lesson learnt and absorbed, thanks for that.

Hey Bill…
It is so very easy to do though sometimes what appears to be a feature is really a benefit and vice versa….a feature is a car having leather seats….a benefit is a car that can drive though hards terrains because it’s a 4 wheel drive…that’s a pretty good analogy to note on difference!
Hope you well Bill….Ed.

Yeah Bill….
It’s the benefits that steal the show on a sale…every time compared to *features*!
Take care….Ed.
