How to Successfully Sell eBooks on eBay Part 1?

Hey Ed WeBBers,

WELL…how the hells it going?…

REALLY!

SO….Albert let's see if I've got this right….you walk into a barbers shop with a toupee  in rollers on an head stand…and ask the barber to trim your nasal hairs?

GENIUS!

WEY HEY… on with the WIG I mean GIG…damn it I rehearsed that as well…;(

How to Successfully Sell eBooks on eBay?

I KNOW I KNOW…hellfire Ed eBay again you boring swine…YEP that's right I'm boring BUT you lurvvvvvvveeeeee the hell out of me, so why eBay again….well because it's the biggest and MOST important component that you need to master to become a long term success selling online and way beyond!

BUT….

I also want to cover the use of eBook sales as the front end of building a *customer Database* SCHHHH all will be revealed?

You see most other sellers who enter the Information products niche…get this SO SO wrong…they misinterpret the meaning of eBay being  a numbers game…they think that by throwing 100's of cheap old and outdated eBooks in an eBay store that they will make loads of spondolees as ONE SHOT SALES…

…the more eBooks the more moneeeeeeeeee…NO NO NO…it doesn't work that there are quite a few factors that go into the mix?

The main reason why this business model is SO flawed…is because eBook sellers become sheep..they do some basic research see that eBooks are flying off the cyber shelves so to speak for @ least most other sellers…so they see it as a niche to go into but do not approach their sales with a *TESTING* attitude…

This is what they don't do and what they should be doing to create a solid foundation for their eBay *Information products niche business…

  • Carefully research which topics sell….*BEST* for other sellers?

By doing this you MASSIVELY cut the risk of failure selling any info products that create the relative solutions to the problems people have that are of course seeking this on eBay!

  • Sell *UNIQUE* products Created around Popular Topics establishing themselves as a *BRAND* and authority in that area?

Like I hinted @ earlier NEW sellers are sheep in the info products niche they sell the exact same eBooks everyone else is flooding the marketplace even more…

crushing their attempts of sales success from the offset….BUT by selling unique information products aimed towards the needs of the eBay visiting masses..

..you WILL generate a  good steady flow of sales…with the leverage of being able to choose a better and higher perceived price point than the competition…Nobody else is selling *THE SAME* eBook RIGHT!

  • Create These UNIQUE products Themselves…gaining The Franchise Over The Product and Sole rights Dominating Sales and Pricepoint?

That's right by creating your own Information Products you and you alone can confidently sell them with NO worries of competition BEATING you on price point…

you will actually be on an inevitable path to success on eBay…selling Information products and of course beyond too!

OH…PEEPS…and one more thing…watch  SERIOUS ED 2 as he talks you through the most *IMPORTANT* key factor you need to know for the long term success of your eBay Information products business…TAKE AWAY ED2…

So guy's as you can see SERIOUS ED 2 has entered the world of PowerPoint presentations in his videos…WADDA GUY…Spielberg you're history…;)

SO…Ed…is the cry now how the hell do we build a customer database from these *first time visitors*?

Well Harold you'll just have to wait for the next file on that won't thee….AND take that damn frock off it doesn't go with the highlights on your bald patch…JEESH…I wonder sometimes!

ANYROAD…I hope you have @ least got some kind of seed growing in your head on….

How to Successfully Sell eBooks on eBay?

AND Harold while that's growing check this acorn out…YIP…Eds Foto Call…

ERM…Well Brad I think it's fair to say i would look stupid if I say you didn't….as for the sharp intake of dope n car farts…I reckon you stand a great chance of getting the *first* job in a circus as a human balloon full of shit n gas…YEP you're a regular Zeppelin...

WEY HEY….you know peeps I'm not full of hot air…I know what I'm talking about and my advice isn't way out there n high as a kite…unlike Brad here…face like a badly spelt story….NO NO NO not me I'll back with more eBay wizardry and humour better than a WHOOPEE cushion….in a library…so stay tuned for that peepsters coz it's part 2 ofHow to Successfully Sell eBooks on eBay?

But even though it's been a GAS it's time float off to the land of sanity….TTFN….Ed.

  1. Hey Ed,

You swine, you said you’d destroyed that photo of me in your kitchen with my hat on yet here it is on your blog

You’re bang on the money with this post Ed. I’ve been selling Info on eBay for years and started off like everyone else, thinking here we go low cost items loads of money coming in WRONG approach.

eBay sales are the start of a funnel where we drag people in with the low cost items and capture them to the best of our ability.

When i make a sale on eBay the customer is STILL sent an email, leading them to a thank you page, where I offer back end sales and have an opt-in form and Adsense ads.

But those digital download days are gone I hear people say. and of course they’re right, but I’m not selling the item as a download, I’m selling the products on disc and posting the disc’s out on a daily basis with a bonus on every one of them (why not use the space a disc offers?).

The emails that’re sent to customers upon payment always state, you can download your item While you wait for the disc to arrive. And I say as a bonus you’ll receive an email when you make payment.

eBay won’t make you rich, but it will bring people into your funnel and that’s where we make the money, plus the links inside the eBooks ;)

AS LONG AS we’re NOT trying to sell the same as everyone else.

    Thanks Ed

    Catch up soon mate,

Dang Barry I’m sorry…told Doris to shred it….;-D

Thats right eBay as far information products go should be used as a targeted traffic funnel…it’s like using Google adWords you’re paying for the vistors…AND these are…*paying customers*!

Cheers for the input Barry you’re always welcome here @ The Ed Files….Ed.

Hi Ed, I’ve done a bit of ebaying over the last couple of years and came to the conclusion it was a total waste of time. That was until I stumbled on your blog. I am quite into SEO and marketing and think I may of found another niche with e-bay, selling info. I could sell my product as a disc, a brilliant way of bringing in more traffic and getting people to click on those links in your e-book. Your blog has not only been of great use to me, I found it really funny as well! I’ll be back, thank you so much for planting the seed.

    Hey Kay…

*EXACTLY*….It’s why most eBayers fail as regards selling Information Products…the profits are made on the back end from the upsell of a greater priced product closely related to the original low priced one..they kind of act like an off line store using cheap products as loss leaders to entice you to look at the higher priced offers…DANG…THATS HOW!!

    YIP Kay…tis the way to go….take care….Ed…;-D
