Oscar..My Friend, My Sole Mate ,My “Cikala Wicasa”!
Hi Ed WeBBers,
I bring very sad and heartbreaking news, sixteen years ago a little guy came into my life, by the name of Oscar a Yorkshire Terrier whom i aquired for my then girlfriend as a cute micro tiny little character…
Five years later , we were left to our own devices , which for the latter twelve years became a blessing in disguise as this forged a very strong bond between us, and over time we where like salt and pepper where ever i went he was there!
SADLY however today Thursday October 1st , i lost him he had be ill for some time not eating and was losing weight , BUT he held an incredible strength at sixteen years old i started to believe he was indistructable, i `ve spent the last six days comforting until he died in my arms today, and i believe a part of me died with him, imagine living on your own with a pet dog (Blood,Family,my right arm) then imagine the bond that grows.. I look at it as having the priviledge of sharing his life , an expierience i wouldn`t change for the world!
He will always be in my heart and thoughts as far i am concerned Oscar as never left me , i always called him "My Little Man" and which brings me to mention my tributes , within the last twenty five years i have lost my Auntie, father, Mother, and finally Oscar..
The point to note here is this each time i suffered a lost i had a tattoo placed on my arms of an American Indian theme and each tattoo had the words "My Aunt","Mother" and "Father", but in the language of Siouan (Sioux Indian Tribe), (Mitunwi -My-Aunt),( A`te-Father) , (Ina-Mother) these are the representation of my family still being with me and i AM having one for Oscar (Cikala Wicasa-Little Man)! I am having him cremated tommorrow and placed in a deluxe casket with the inscribed message..

Obviously i am heartbroken, BUT i know i will only grow stronger and bring you my Ed WeBBers the most insane ride of your life you`d better believe it!!!!

Sniff, sniff…that was a beautiful tribute to your “Little Man.”
Thank you for sharing such a heartfelt story…one that will touch everyone who reads it.
“Little Man” will always be with you…taking care of you from another dimension. Some day you’ll be reunited and you can hug him again.

Why do we put ourselves through these traumas?
Having pets means putting ourselves through this
every few years.
We have lost six cats in eight years!!
Three through old age or illness and
three were killed on the road,
so I know what you are going through.

Hi Ed,
I’m so sorry to hear that. The exact same thing happened to me with my Mata Hari many years ago. She died in my arms one afternoon after re-appearing from being missing for almost a week. I was so happy for her to return, but maybe she returned only to be with me while she was passing away. I’m sure that Oscar was very comforted being with you during his last few moments. My heart goes out to you and I truly understand how you feel
