Selling On eBay- How to Use Mispellings on eBay for Big Profits?
Hey Ed WeBBers,
You know peeps, the old Ed rabbits on about using wholesalers and manufacturers to source your products from especially approaching them for 'old stock', gaining inventory at a cheaper rate in bulk, for your eBay business!
BUT…
There is one particular method that I just simply love to mention, for acquiring your products to sell, and its on eBay itself!
What the hell are you talking about….Ed?
WELL….
We all can write and type, BUT, we don`t always spell our words and sentences correctly….
DO WE…
So with that in mind, it stands to reason that some eBay sellers who list an high ticket item in demand for sale in auction format is going to list it for a reasonably low bidding price to obviously attract a lot of bidders to the item hoping for a bidding war towards the end of the auction thus creating a frenzy of buying bids bumping the price right up for a nice beefy profit…
AND….
How they do that is by 'frontloading' (putting the best keywords first) in their listing title with all the essential targeted keywords so it shows up better in the 'BEST MATCH' search results, of course giving them massive exposure to targeted visitors looking to *buy* their product!
HOWEVER…
What if they where to misspell their title, I mean who the hell is going to find this 'diamond' product every ones after?
NOBODY!
Then that's great news to you, bad news for them…
WHY?
Because if you where to say play around and use misspelt keywords and titles that you can think of closely related to finding that item, I'll almost *guarantee* you will find listings of the item with that keyword or title misspelt…
AND….
Lets not forget all other people will be looking for that item on eBays search engine by typing in the keywords spelt 'correctly', they will get all the competition and raised bids that they don't want!
BUT…
You you savvy Ed WeBBer you, you will have none of the above, because the search engine will 'best match' them to the correctly spelt titles and keywords not the 'misspelt' ones that you will be taken to, let me give you an example of the misspelt profit model….
X camera, everyone wants worth $600…
Starting bid $20
Seller misspells the title and/or keywords and doesn't realize it…
| Cannan x680 muti focus 5.1 megapixel zoom Camera*NEW* |
It should be….
| Canon x680 multi focus 5.1 megapixel zoom camera*NEW* |
Notice they misspelt Canon using Cannan….
If you type into eBays search engine on any eBay global site, the exact misspelt keyword in the title 'Cannan' above (note this is an hypothetical camera and listing)
You and only you will find it, everyone and his dog will find the highly competitive and bidded on auction listings under the *frontloaded* correct spelling of 'Canon'….
Ed….your taking the yellow liquid now, what the hell would a dog want with a camera, and they see in black n white?
Doris…Simple you can now buy attachments for cameras especially for dogs to hold them, as the color element, WELL no matter how much I alter the focus on mine you still come out fuzzy, mind you it would help if you had a shave now and again!
Takes a picture like Picasso, on with the gig!
Can you now see how you will be the only bidder on the 'Cannan' listing for $20, and how YOU WILL win the bid for $20….
- NO sniping needed.
- NO worry of losing the bid.
- Very cheap purchase.
NOW…
Lets say you acquire this camera, three times from three separate misspelt listings, for $120 including shipping to you!
So now you have $1,800 worth of cameras to now flip and resell back on eBay!
Check out this fantastic video giving you an Eds up on a *free* tool you can use to find misspellings on eBay…
You've gotta love this tool peeps, its a real leverage maker for finding bargains to flip and resell!
==>> www.typojoe.com/ <<==
AND…
Furthermore, for example if you buy them on say eBay.com from your *buyers* account with eBay, then sell them on eBay.co.uk from your *sellers* account (from any eBay account to any eBay account), that way me luvvies, any buyers cannot trace the source of your seller to you knowing that you paid 'peanuts' for them and not asking for a massive knockdown in price!
Ed…. YOU DEVIL YOU!!!!!!
Is the cry…
Sod off peeps you love it you swines that you are!
AND…
You can make this system work for any in demand product niche!
Talking of in demand….Eds Foto Call…

ERM yeah thats right Dick you're really stupid, and you look like a coal miner after sixty days without sleep rummaging around a Burger king skip!
WEY HEY, reminds of me on my wedding day when the vicar told me all the choir boys said my bedroom ceiling was leaking from a bursting pipe, (Ed you smutty swine you), what my wife calls them her angelic plumbers, speaking of which tune in soon when I will be seeping out more info about a great product that I know will undo the tightening on your bank account, using its profits on tap wrench!
BUT…
Until then you ratchet twisting fools you, its TTFN….Ed.

This looks like an interesting tactic to get cheap goods Ed.I just wondered, are you using this yourself on eBay? Buy low, sell high is always going to be profitable. I never thought of using eBay to get stock, but it could be an inexhaustable source.

Hey John,
eBay as always been a great resource in itself, to use for your product inventory, it can actually be used as a sole supplier in some markets!
And eBay is also ideal to buy your test products from to test the markets saleability, for example you may want to test a product in the diet market, say some form of dietary supplement capsule?
Buy in an amount of 5 to 10 boxes from an already successful seller on eBay, if the salesw are at least successful enough according to your profits, you then know you have a selling winner on your hands!
You can then approach the wholesalers for a bulk order knowing that at least 80 to 90% of them WILL sell!
So yeah you can actually run an eBay business using eBay as your sole supplier for your testing stock and/or your full scale suppliers!
Thanks John….Ed.

Hi Ed,
A great demonstration of how to flip items from mispellings. There are people making huge profits in this way and its so simple to apply.
From a sellers point of view if there are certain words that are commonly misspelt it’s a good idea to include them somewhere in the listing so as to get them picked up in the Include Description search, although this isn’t automatically checked many people do use it. The inclusion of a couple of alternative spelling mistakes, as well the correctly spelt wording, can help you capitalize on all everyones spelling ability.
The video gave an excellent demo of the tool in action and together with your advice here Ed your readers won’t have any trouble at all turning a coin.
Not to mention the savings they could make with Christmas just around the corner.
Cheers Ed,

Hey Eamon,
Yeah it’s true you really can start and run an eBay business using this method, some sellers use the collectibles markets to this end!
Although its a game of experience, knowing what sells well and how to find enough recurring mispelt products to sustain profits.
My first and foremost advice would be to target supply and demand high ticket products that you can source regular enough to make a steady income stream from!
Great to hear from you Eamon….Ed.

Hi Ed
At the present time I am not using ebay as an income stream, but with the information on your site I will certainly be looking into it in the future!
Love your style of presentation too!
All the best

Hi Ed,
I know this is an eBayer’s old trick and I agree there is money to be made. Although I think the problem is here that people see these tricks, they say hey that’s great and then don’t actually take action. Which leave seven more money on the table for those who listen to these strategies and take action.
Cheers Ed

Hey John,
Yeah it is an old trick, and like you say most people won’t take advice and run with it ..
BUT…
For those that do and do it correctly will have at least a nice little 2nd earner going on!
Thanks for your visit John….Ed.

I used to sell a LOT on eBay several years ago and this was something that I learned along the way – but it seemed too many people caught on and it stopped working. But, sounds like maybe it is working again.
Definitely a great way to buy products CHEAP to resell.

Hey Linda…
This form of product sourcing never went away…it’s just ran it’s course…HOWEVER..what you need to do to get back in the game is to use a buyers account to source and your targeted product in the USA or the Australian eBay sites then ship them over to the UK to flip and resell on the uk eBay site from your sellers account that way buyers can’t trace the *very cheap* pricepoint you paid @ auction in the US, then approach you for a knock down in price…;-)
Later Linda….Ed.
