If you recall a couple of months ago I covered one of my fave areas of traffic generation….

Video Marketing…

Well in this post I want  to. as I always do, take things a little deeper, first of all I have based this technique on using a certain software application, to build your subscriber lists via video marketing!

I have already covered the basics, because you needed the history of this traffic generation to proceed!

Lets begin…

First of all as I have mentioned previously, video marketing is an awesome traffic magnet, and its such a great medium to use in conjunction with other important areas of your online business, and the most important area in question is 'building a customer database', yep that's right guys, we are venturing into two areas of your business here…

  • Video Marketing
  • List building

BUT…

We need leverage here, there's a missing component, well the third factor is using a certain software application, installed to put this system in place?

So Ed you on the edge of your seat swine you, I hear you cry, what the hell is it?

Easy tiger, this technique and strategy will have you building lists as far as some desert Island dweller that uses a coconut and string as a telephone…

OK OK maybe not him, but you guys get the picture!

The software in question, is by my fave software developer 'Paul Ponna', Paul has been responsible for some of the best software applications on the net of recent times, products like….

  • => Disc Mojo <= : massive leverage for cd and dvd sellers on Amazon?
  • => Auction Acrobat <= : a Fantastic software tool for 'information sellers' on eBay?

I really do strongly recommend them all, Pauls software is so unique guys!

But, for the purposes of this post I want to bring his latest software app to your attention, and in my opinion his best to date, as it concentrates on building the most powerful part of your Internet business….

YOUR CUSTOMER LISTS!

The *new* software in question is called 'Magic List Bot', and it adds an all new dimension to video marketing, let me assure you guys,  just like all the great thriller movies it puts a clever twist to all your list building campaigns like nothing you have ever seen before. its dynamic!

Ed enough what the hell does it do, stop chewing the fat?

Ok Ok, 'Magic List Bot', creates as the title suggests 'Magic Links', seriously peeps, just exactly that, and these links lead to affiliate products of your choice, in a stealth manner collecting leads to your lists while it makes sales instantly!

Now this is where video marketing comes into play, Paul Ponna himself describes Magic List Bot, as 'sugar coating Content', and by this he means people create videos and do not have the foresight to 'moieties' them for profits!

You know I briefly touched on what I am about to tell you before, but if you remember my example of the funny wedding video on You Tube that attracted millions of viewers, well that was a great example showing that these type of 'funny' niche videos are getting the traffic, and  I mean targeted traffic, using Magic List Bot you can ethically hi jack these videos as a list building affiliate and. how can I say this?

AH YES. steal the traffic, remember all you are doing is 'sugar coating' their video and its perfectly legal!

Its basically what they should be doing?

You know using video, you will attain people who would not normally visit your site, but the video medium has leverage and a higher rate of success for you, you see people will see you as a great source of what they need and will not be wary of you because the video does not translate as a sales pitch, and all who join your lists will start to trust and bond with you,hope you can see the power in that statement!

In my next installment  on how to use Magic List Bot to build your lists and make affiliate sales, I will talk about a *free*, video submission software tool that will create powerful leverage in your video marketing strategy, but until then peeps….

Selling on eBay- and Having a passion for chicken Nuggets Relates to Your eBay Success?

Forget road rage – the latest is 'food rage'…
 
The News of late states…
 
An American lady called Melodi Dushane was so upset she couldn't get chicken nuggets at a McDonald's in Ohio (just because the restaurant was serving breakfast!) – that she ended up throwing a huge 'wobbler'…
 
She went bananas – smashing the drive-through window and smacking an employee.
 
The video is online…if you really want to see a 'McChicken-Nugget-loving-lunatic'.
 
Look – you and I know that this kind of thing isn't really 'new'.
 
Fact is, there's always someone, somewhere, going nuts!
 
And that brings me onto something that I don't talk about that often – customer service!
 
Now, let me be frank: actually selling what you've got is FAR more important than customer service.
 
Why?
 
Because if you don't sell anything in the first place, you won't have any customers to serve!
 
But at some point, of course, customer service will be important.
 
But let me come back to our 'McChicken' story at the beginning of this post…
 
You see, after you've been serving customers for a while, you'll understand that certain
customers have 'bad days'.
 
Some have bad days…every day!
 
You might also find that certain *markets* have more trouble-some customers than others (with the corresponding effect on your feedback!)
 
So how do you deal with this?
 
One tip I've found useful is the 'wait one day' approach, selling on eBay.
 
If you get an annoying customer/email – and as long as they don't demand an instant
response – wait a day.
 
You'll cool off after a day and will be far less inclined to send an 'irate' email back in response.
 
As an alternative – actually WRITE the email that you want to WRITE…with expletives and
all.
 
WRITE it all out.
 
Then don't send it.
 
Getting it off your chest will actually help!
 
Now, that would have admittedly been a little
tricky in our McDonalds example.
 
But you can definitely do this with your eBay trading, YES its all leverage when selling on eBay.
 
The 'distant' nature of the communication means people can often be abusive via email.
 
But as long as you recognise that people do have 'bad days' (some more than others!),
and use the two email tips above, then you can retain a very high feedback score!
 
Not get physically abused…and even manage to stay calm when Mr. Smith loses his rags because he wanted red and not green!

Selling on eBay- Can a Nightclub Relate to eBay?

Well what the hell are you on about Ed on about, selling drunks on eBay, I hear you cry?

WHAT…peeps tis taken in the wrong vain!

OK OK..
 
I was talking to a guy I know the other day and he was tellin g me about how he ended up going out on Saturday with a friend of his who knows all the 'best places' to go…
 
So there they were, walking up outside a] fancy bar/club kind of place…when
he said he saw a huge HUDDLE outside.
 
At first, he thought they must have all been smoking or something – but it was actually
the queue…more of a ball of people actually.
 
"Wow" he thought what a buzzing joint…
 
"This is it the nightclub of nightclubs, this place must be *really* good. I mean, look at that queue!"
 
After a bit of pushing and shoving, my friend got to the front and hada reasonably seamless entry.
 
At this point, the Bryl-creem was going in his hair, and the 'Sure' deodorant (he was
really pushing the boat out on this night) was going under the armpits.
 
Plus, under the chin…just for good measure.
 
Then came the inevitable deflation.
 
The club was part empty!
 
Of course – the 'queue' was that old ploy…
 
Make the place looked packed and 'in demand' by making the queue look as big as you possibly can, without annoying the 'queuers' too much.
 
It's a commonly-used ploy – night-clubs use it, as I'm sure do restaurants and other
establishments (albeit in slightly different ways).
 
And, of course, this brings me to today's point…
 
How can you apply this strategy to your eBay selling?
 
More specifically, how can you make your store – or product listing – look 'in demand'?
 
The busier somewhere looks – the better.
 
People want to go where the action is…because if there's 'action' there, it implies that it's good!
 
Here's one possibility…
 
With any eBay listing, you get the opportunity to use a SUB-TITLE.
 
And in that sub-title, you can, perhaps, tell people how many units your item is selling
or has sold…
 
For example, maybe your face cloth has sold 1,453 units – and is selling at the rate of 121 per month.
 
A sub-title such as…
 
"Over 1,400 already sold – selling like hotcakes because it works!"
 
May work effectively.
 
Of course, this is just one brief example.
 
How can you apply the 'nightclub secret' in your own business or with the products
you're selling?
 
It's certainly worth thinking about.

Selling on eBay – Can Make Nice Profits Selling Acme whistles?

Have you ever thought about selling whistles online?

 
I haven't.
 
Believe it or not though, there is a market online for WHISTLES, including on eBay.
 
Really Ed Yawn, and stretch, are they of the 'penny' kind?
 
Seriously peeps, theres a market for 'Whistles'
 
They're only cheap though. So there aren't huge profits to be made.
 
I mention this because not all that long ago a friend of mine brought to my attention a program about…
 
ACME WHISTLES.
 
Turns out that these guys are some of the World's top whistle manufacturers – and they are based right here in the UK.
 
(In Birmingham no less).
 
Now, I'm not sure whether they'd be a good supplier for you or not – but that's not my point.
 
I wanted to highlight them because of one thing.
 
They're a manufacturer based in the UK!
 
And that's quite unusual.
 
You see, most manufacturers nowadays aren't based here, but are based mostly out in
China.
 
And that's my point…
 
If you want to find hot, saleable eBay products (or any product for that matter), you can't just focus your search on the UK market.
 
There may be the odd company like Acme Whistles, but they are the exception rather
than the rule.
 
You've got to look further afield.
 
And not be afraid of buying 'non-British'.
 
Thankfully, with the power of the Web now at your fingertips, this is much easier than you'd think.
 
Trade sites like alibaba.com can certainly help. As can normal 'online searches'.
 
The key though is not being too fixated on buying from a UK supplier (of course, not being too fixated on NOT buying from a UK supplier as well!)
 
It's NOT that difficult to buy from abroad.
 
And once you've done it, it's very easy to do it again.
 
So, I suppose that's my question for today…
 
Are you being overly-fussy about buying from UK wholesalers and manufacturers,
and therefore markedly limiting the possible money  you can make?
 
Likewise, are you concentrating solely on foreign suppliers – when a UK company like
Acme Whistles may be an even better solution?
 
Only you know the answer to that!

You know I don`t get you guys, you throw yourselves around trying to catch Salmon when you can get it in tins at the supermarket, go figure?

Selling on eBay- How Importing and Exporting Affects Your Profits?

Do you know who Japan's third most successful company is?
 
It's worth about 60 billion UK spondoolies.
 
(First clue).
 
You might be familiar with its products…like the 'Wii'.
 
Got there yet?
 
It's Nintendo.
 
I remember the days of 'Duck Hunt' on the old 'NES'! But then Nintendo kind of lost their way a bit…until they dreamt up the 'Wii', and came bouncing right
back.
 
But there are issues…
 
One of which is…?
 
Nintendo, like rival Japanese games firm Sony, exports the majority of its hardware and
video games to Europe and the USA.
 
But retail prices there for their products are 'fixed'. As are distribution, retail and transport costs.
 
That means if their own *currency* fluctuates a lot, they can end up making less money even if nothing else has changed!
 
(They might even be selling more and doing better, but still make less mon-ee!)
 
That's why Nintendo recently released a statement saying they were having trouble forecasting 'pwofits', because of the wild currency swings in global markets at the moment.
 
My point?
 
Well, there may well come a point when this kind of thing impacts YOU, as an eBayer.
 
Currency movements will affect you
 
IF…
 
  • You import products from another country, e.g. the USA, China etc.
  • You export – you sell your products to foreign buyers!
 
If you think about, the above two points affect a lot of eBayers!
 
Most people source some stock from abroad, and
plenty sell to foreign buyers too.
 
If you import, then you product costs can rise if our own currency weakens.
 
But your costs may stay the same – e.g. eBay fees, paypal fees and postage. In short,
your profits can end up going down, through no fault of your own.
 
But if you export- sell to foreign buyers – then if our currency weakens, you actually end up
banking more money, for no extra effort.
 
For Nintendo, since they export most of their products, and since their currency was *strengthening* recently – that lead to a decrease in pwofits.
 
Through no fault of their own!
 
This talk of 'weakening' and 'strengthening' is a bit confusing though, isn't it?
 
Basically what you need to know is this: if you import or export a lot – you need to keep
your eye on the Great British Pound's fluctuations.
 
If it's moving around a lot, re-calculate your product/import costs, and re-calculate how much your foreign buyers are giving you.
 
Do the simple sums by going to a simple financial website to get the latest currency
prices.
 
You might be surprised that you're losing some money somewhere…and gaining some
place else.
 
The key point is to 'watch currency fluctuations' if you're an eBayer and operate (in some way – whether importing or exporting) outside the UK.
 
Time to grab that calculator I think…
